Fr. Felino B. Javines, Jr. SVD, DM
Fr. Felino B. Javines Jr, SVD, DM. is a distinguished Filipino educator, academic leader, and published author with over three decades of experience in both basic and higher education. He currently serves as President of Divine Word College of San Jose in San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
He earned his Doctor of Management in Human Resource Management from the University of San Jose–Recoletos, where his research focused on inter-school collaboration in HR practices within Society of the Divine Word (SVD) institutions.
Throughout his career, Fr. Javines has held key academic and administrative positions, including Vice President for Academic Affairs of the Basic Education Department at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City and Vice President for Administration and Plant Director at Holy Name University. He has also held faculty positions at institutions such as Christ the King Mission Seminary and Divine Word Colleges.
A senior consultant, national trainer, and accreditor, Fr. Javines has worked with numerous educational and accrediting organizations, including PEAC, FAPE, PAASCU, and APPSAM. His expertise spans teacher training, educational leadership, and curriculum development.
As a prolific researcher and speaker, he has presented at national and international conferences across Asia, the United States, and Europe. His scholarly work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, and he has authored several instructional books, including BLEPT review materials and senior high school textbooks.
Fr. Javines is actively engaged in ASEAN regional education policy research, particularly in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and teacher standards. He has completed specialized training in Brunei, Singapore, the United States, and Japan.
