Fr. Roland U. Aquino, SVD, was born on December 22, 1968, in Abulug, Cagayan, and was ordained to the priesthood on April 8, 2000. He is a member of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) and hails from the Immaculate Conception Parish Church in Dana-ili, Abulug, Cagayan.

He currently serves as the School Director of Saint Jude Catholic School in San Miguel, Manila, a role he has held since 2020. Prior to this, he headed the school’s Finance Division from 2017 to 2020 and from 2000 to 2005. From 2005 to 2015, he served as Parish Priest of the National Shrine of Saint Jude Thaddeus in Manila, while also holding key leadership roles as District Superior of the SVD Manila District and Vicar Forane of the Archdiocese of Manila during the same period.

Fr. Aquino holds a Juris Doctor degree from Arellano University School of Law (2023), a Master in Business Administration from San Beda University (2012), and dual degrees in Sacred Theology and Master in Pastoral Ministry from the Divine Word School of Theology in Tagaytay (2000). He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the Divine Word Seminary in 1991. As part of his SVD formation, he also underwent overseas training, earning a certificate in the Mandarin Language Program in Taiwan (1996–1998) and joining the East Asian Teaching Program at Lujiang University in China (1998–1999).

Fr. Aquino is deeply committed to Catholic education, not only through his leadership roles but also by integrating sound financial management, legal insight, and pastoral guidance into school governance. His work has significantly contributed to the holistic formation of students and the advancement of faith-based education in the country.
