Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC) has formalized its international academic partnerships through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kongunadu Arts and Science College and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira, held on March 19, 2026, at the DWCC Conference Room.
The MOU with Kongunadu Arts and Science College—an autonomous institution affiliated with Bharathiar University in Tamil Nadu, India—covers academic and research engagements, research and innovation initiatives, as well as student and faculty development. The institution was represented by Dr. A. Rajalakshmi.
Building on its existing partnership with Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira in Indonesia since 2023, DWCC further strengthened its collaboration through a MOA. The agreement encompasses academic collaboration across various programs, including Basic Education and Senior High School, Business, Accountancy, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Education, and Information Technology. It also includes faculty and student exchange programs, joint research and publications, conduct of conferences, seminars, workshops, and training programs, intercultural activities, internship and practicum opportunities, and mobility programs. The partner institution was represented by Fr. Stefanus Lio, SVD, together with Fr. Ubaldus Djonda, SVD, BOT Chairman of Widya Mandira.
The MOU and MOA were formally signed by Fr. Renato A. Tampol, SVD, PhD, President of DWCC. Also present during the signing were Br. Hubertus Guru, SVD, EdD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Ms. Claudette G. Sim, Internationalization and External Linkages Officer, the Learning Area Coordinators from the DWCC Basic Education Department, and the College Deans.
