Bachelor of Science in Psychology

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology program delivers a comprehensive and thorough exploration of human behavior and mental processes. Its goal is to furnish students with a strong foundation of theoretical and practical expertise in Psychology, complemented by additional exposure to the natural sciences. This equips them to address societal needs by promoting optimal functioning and well-being through both basic and applied research, as well as through educational and intervention initiatives.

Career Pathways

Graduates of BA/BS Psychology program could be a licensed psychometrician, or they can work in the academe, in the Human Resource, or in research. Graduates may also pursue careers in medicine, law, management, etc. 

  1. Psychometrician: Graduates can pursue career on administration, interpretation, and scoring of psychological tests. They can create psychological reports with supervision of psychologists in workplace, hospitals, clinics or mental health centers. 
  2. Clinical Psychology: Graduates can pursue careers as clinical psychologists, providing therapy, counseling, and mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. They may work in private practice, hospitals, clinics, or mental health centers.
  3. Counseling Psychology: Similar to clinical psychology, graduates can work as counseling psychologists, focusing on helping individuals cope with personal and emotional challenges. They may work in schools, community centers, rehabilitation facilities, or private practice.
  4. School Psychology: Graduates can work in educational settings as school psychologists, supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional well-being. They may assess students’ needs, develop interventions, and collaborate with educators and parents.
  5. Research and Academia: Graduates can pursue research careers in universities, research institutions, or think tanks. They may conduct studies, contribute to academic literature, and teach psychology at the undergraduate or graduate level.
  6. Human Resources: Psychology graduates can work in human resources departments, applying their understanding of human behavior and motivation to support employee well-being, training, and development within organizations.
  7. Psychiatry / Neuropsychology: Graduate of psychology may enter medical school and pursue specialization on psychiatry and neuropsychology.
