DWCC MEDICAL & DENTAL CLINIC
MEDICAL CLINIC
The Medical Clinic is a section that deals with the health of the DWCC community as a part of the school’s multi-disciplinary team to bridge the gap between health, wellness and learning. A healthcare facility, associated with the school, which is devoted to the diagnosis of health problems and rendering instructions of outpatient care. Its main function is to identify, assess, plan, implement and evaluate the health needs of the school community.
Program emphasis is directed toward prevention of disease and promotion of health utilizing health services, health counseling, and health education to promote optimum health for academic success.
DENTAL CLINIC
The Dental Clinic is a unit that provides access to quality dental care for DWCC community. The School Dental Service has a range of very important practices related to the oral cavity to maintain good oral health. This service includes encouragement to hamper oral diseases through proper hygiene and regular checkups.
The School Dentist program offers preventive services, curative treatment to suppress oral health dilemma.

- Promotion of good dental habits includes proper brushing and as well as advice on eating well balance meal that helps improve dental health
- Provision Of A Sanitary And Safe Environmment ( in coordination with the Supervisor of the General Services ) Contributory To The Acquisition Of Good Health

- Safety and Security Assurance
- Participation in Fire and Earthquake Drill
- School – Community Coordination
- Participation in various health or medical / dental related activities and programs of the DWCC CES as well as of other government and non-government organizations such as Medical-Dental Missions
MEDICAL
- Emergent health cases are to be brought or referred to the health care provider immediately.
- Checkup of non-emergent cases is to be done only or within the school physician’s clinic schedule.
- Emergency cases or other concerns that needs special attention is to be referred by the school nurse to the school physician.
- Before check-up, one must seek the assistance of the school nurse for record making/finding, vital signs taking and health history gathering.
- One must honestly provide any relevant information needed for own health care.
- During check-up, one must patiently wait for his/her turn.
- Massive physical check-up (OJT, Intramural players, Fieldtrips etc.) should be done by schedule. (Communication letter and master list is provided by the department)
- Students must come within the said schedule of check-up.
- Pregnancy testing is to be performed at their home with the supervision and approval of their mother/guardian.
- Clinic is dispensing over-the-counter medicines for starter doses only.
DENTAL
- Every student can have an annual/every semester oral check up and assessment.
- Dental appointment is scheduled a week before the procedure.
- One must come on or before the said appointment to prevent further delay to the dentist and the next scheduled patient.
- Late student by 10 minutes is considered as cancel schedule and cannot be re-scheduled for the whole semester.
- A late student by 5 minutes with valid reason is considered excused
