On January 16, 2025, the DOLE Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board MIMAROPA, in partnership with the Oriental Mindoro Industrial Peace Advocates (ORMIPA) and Divine Word College of Calapan, held an 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚-𝐖𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 at the DWCC Audio Visual Room. The seminar, themed “Stronger Partnership in 2025 and Beyond: Enhancing Workplace Relations,” aimed to provide valuable insights into the current workplace environment and contribute to the long-term development of industries in Oriental Mindoro.
Key participants included representatives from DOLE RCMB-MIMAROPA, ORMIPA officers, and industry representatives. ORMIPA President Mr. Mark P. Solo III emphasized the importance of strong partnerships and effective communication in improving workplace relations for organizational success. Fr. Renato A. Tampol, SVD, PhD, President of DWCC, welcomed attendees and reaffirmed DWCC’s commitment to supporting initiatives for healthy working environment. He also highlighted the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing collaboration and innovation.
DOLE-MIMAROPA Regional Director Ms. Naomi Lyn C. Abellana delivered an inspirational message, stressing the significance of creating safe space, inclusive workplaces and managing conflicts effectively. She also acknowledged the remarkable contributions of AI in the industry while stressing that human interaction, intelligence, and relationships remain irreplaceable as the foundation of innovation and technology.
The seminar covered topics such as the Safe Spaces Act, automation and AI’s impact on human resource procedures, conflict management strategies, and trends in wages and productivity. The event, organized by ORMIPA, led by its President, Mr. Mark P. Solo III, RGC, CHRA and the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board MIMAROPA headed by Director Atty. Ligaya R. Lubay.
